How to make your fragrance last
Apply to moisturised skin.
Fragrance clings to oil, not to dry skin. A body cream just before your perfume noticeably extends how long it lasts.
Spray on warm spots.
Wrists, sides of the neck, inner elbows. The skin is warmer there and the fragrance develops better.
Don't rub it in.
Rubbing your wrists together breaks up the fine structure of the top notes and makes the scent turn faster.
Layer instead of reapplying.
Wearing the same fragrance as both body cream and perfume creates a base that holds all day. It also works with two different scents from one family: a gourmand over a woody scent creates a note only you wear.
Store cool and dark.
Not in the bathroom. Heat and light break fragrance molecules down. A bedroom cupboard is the better place.
